Had high expectations for that place, and they all met. This is not your typical tourist restaurant - they have given so much though to the menu and the training of the staff. Everyone is doing its part and the place runs perfectly. Our waiter Nicoletta was very kind, fast, and efficient. She gave a note of joy in our evening. Might be the quickest service we ever had. The place itself is absolutely gorgeous. The building, the furniture, the decorations. Very happy we got to eat here. Be careful and book a table at least 1 week on advance.
This restaurant is very beautiful and extremely popular. You definitely have to have reservations. It’s ranked #7 legendary restaurants in the world. The food was good, not amazing. I got the pork knuckle for one and my husband got smoked pork and sausage. Both of our meats were on the dry side. Both of us loved the sauerkraut (cabbage). It was very delicious!! My husband also had the bean soup in the bread bowl and he loved it! For dessert we had the cake with homemade ice cream with cherry sauce, and that was very tasty. Our server was good, considering how extremely busy the restaurant was today. I do recommend going to this place.
Very nice place! The food was good. Amazing service from Bianca! Bravo! Thank you Bianca! If you visit the place ask for Bianca!
After 7 years I decided to give another chance to this supposed icon place in Bucharest. I signed for the New Year’s party that cost about 200€ and once more I was rather disappointed. The service is slow. The midnight toast had to be rushed while the first course was been served. The place was extremely hot. And now (2AM) we have been served the second course and most guests have left. It’s a great place, the staff is great but there are too many tables and they offer service to too many people at once that they cannot accommodate. And in fair analyses the food is not that great! There are far better places and far cheaper around Bucharest.
