If you are looking for a decent japanese food, you cant find anywhere better than here. You need to book in advance because the seat is limited to 8persons per night. But it worth a peny.

This Japanese restaurant is located in a quiet area, about 10 minutes walk from Nakameguro, and between Ikejiri Ohashi and Ikejiri Ohashi. It's a new restaurant that opened last year, and it's not like it's an independent restaurant from a super famous restaurant, but it's a popular restaurant that quickly became difficult to make reservations for. The owner is from Shimane Prefecture and most recently worked at a Japanese restaurant in Yokohama. It's hard to get a reservation, but it's open on the 1st of every month, so if you try your best at that time, you can make a reservation depending on the day. I visited on a Sunday night. The inside of the store is new and clean, with only a U-shaped counter. Omakase course 15,000 yen. It consisted of 7 dishes, clay pot rice, and 2 types of sweets, but we were told that there would also be curry that day, so we all ate it after the clay pot rice. Considering the content, I think the pricing is low. Although there are no meat dishes, there are plenty of ingredients such as red sea bream, sweet sea bream, milt, and soft-shelled turtle. I was happy because I like money. Personally, I would have preferred the soft-shelled turtle grilled rather than fried, but I think it was still delicious. The last clay pot rice was thin bean rice. It's not fancy, but it's delicious. If you can enjoy high-quality Japanese food at this price, I wonder if it will be popular.

The service is really welcoming and friendly, they can speak english and german. The cuisine is really authentic (don't expect to find sushi there), the ramen are really tasty and they propose really nice dishes to share. The Sake collection is really nice and they can give you advice regarding your taste which is a real plus for me.

I am big fan of this soup and tasted it already in Paris, London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Prague, Warsaw, Hamburg and other cities in Europa and must say that MUKU serves outstanding Ramen and for me this is definitive the best Ramen in Europe until now. You must try MUKU-Ramen or Yamatani-Ramen. Also japan tapas are top but expensive. The prices generally are for Frankfurt not low but it is worth. Per person You have to pay about 50 EUR, when You want to try. Ramen cost 13-15 EUR. Service is very nice and the location has style and is very good for romantic or business dinner. BofG - come back / recommendation factor: 95% for me it is "must to be" in Frankfurt.
