One of the best meals I had in Japan. The variety of skewers is unbelievable. The price is fantastic for what you get. The staff is incredibly helpful and welcoming. The atmosphere is perfect and I will 100% be back. The sake is poured until it’s overflowing into a reservoir they give you to also drink. Celebrate life and eat your heart out here!
Friend booked a reservation here, and it was great! The chicken meatball skewers are amazing, and if you get the egg yolk topping it literally comes with an egg yolk! Between the four of us, we ordered a little bit of everything to try and enjoyed everything. You do have to order one drink per person though, and they do not give water unless asked. Would have love to have my water refilled, but they are quite busy so they never did. Also, it gets toasty and smoky inside, and you have to take off your shoes. So plan accordingly!
Jomon is always a great choice for a casual bite! My favorites are the ebi, tsukimi, and bonjiri, but honestly, everything’s a hit. Downsides: you’ll leave smelling like smoke, it's noisy, and putting shoes back on is a hassle. Still, it’s a regular spot for us when we're around Roppongi. PS Taste is a little on the salty side.
I have found this place through trip advisor and was curious. We booked thanks to a Japanese friend on the phone (better book). It gets very busy as the night goes. The concept is like Japanese tapas, full of different tapas from potato’s salad, dumpling, and skewers of so so many times, very delicious. There is also opportunity to do sake pairing!!!! Staff is very friendly and the vibe is great. God our dinner we paid in tot 25 euros! So. Must go!
