Absolutely amazing Omakase dinner in an intimate 8-seater space. Food was grand, and chef recommended sakes that were to our palette - we had 5 different types of sake throughout the entire dinner and it was such an experience. Service was great as well. Would definitely return for another delicious dinner!
Honestly Sushi Ya far exceeded my expectations, my partner and I had the nigiri lunch omakase, 16 courses in an intimate 8 person dining setting. Chef has 25 years experience and creates absolutely mouthwatering sushi of the highest quality. The restaurant is on the second floor and slightly tricky to locate as the signage isn't in English for tourists. One of the most memorable and delicious meals of my life.
I really enjoyed my evening : every taste of fish and assimilated were piece of heaven in the mouth. If you are a raw fish lover, you HAVE to do it once in your life. Beside the taste, the chief and the employees were very nice, being only 8 around him makes the experience very intimate and so better.
The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of the Hanatsubaski Building (the address in Tripadvisor is the old address). It took a bit of effort (we asked the locals) to find the restaurant, but it was definitely worthwhile. The restaurant is an intimate 9 seat restaurant with Chef Hashimoto behind the counter (and a team of very efficient service staff behind). Chef was very outgoing, even in English, which really helped to make the experience so much more enjoyable. The food was excellent. Certainly somewhere I will re-visit the next time I'm in Tokyo.
