This meal was surprisingly interesting. Not at all what I was expecting. It was a nice blend of Japanese and western cuisine. All the dishes were quite unique and really tasty. I would have liked maybe one more dish since I found the portions a bit small. I thought the non-alcoholic pairing was better than the normal wine pairing.

Beautiful restaurant serving seasonal modern Japanese dishes. The set menu with the wine pairing was excellent. The chef here is very talented. Would highly recommend. Be aware that you should book for dinner as their capacity is fairly low.

This was our last meal in Japan after a three-week visit and it was extraordinary. The chef trained in France and is dedicated to showing off local treasures from the best of chickens from an area near Mt. Fuji, to local Japanese wines and the pick of the produce from the surrounding areas. The restaurant is small so reservations are suggested. The restaurant has been opened for over 8 years now so they have a very solid local following. The meal was incredibly refreshing, memorable and delicious. If we came back to Tokyo it would be on the top of our go-to list. It is a 4-course set menu which changes frequently. Our first course was Tomato Water with Strawberries and Cherry Blossom. The second plate was two Tuna seaweed fritters in a roasted tea soup with one particular slice of an incredible mushroom unique to Japan and this area. Third Mimolette, Mango and Grapefruit Salad with the most incredible tasting Mangos, The fourth plate was a chicken from the Mt. Fuji area in black vinegar and a diced vegetable side. Dessert was your choice of four offerings. A great night and ending to an exciting visit to Japan.

We had a great discovery and a wonderful lunch experience at Bistro Kiki in Harajuku that is owned and managed by a super creative chef. This is a small restaurant offering excellent French cuisine with a Japanese twist ... a truly unforgetable experience in Tokyo. The set lunch was excellent ... service was outstanding ... and the chef was absolutely charming.
