Very popular among locals and always with a line in front (moves fast though) Might be a bit confusing when you order if you’re not too familiar with the different types of udon they serve. The niku udon was great but I thought the cold/dipping udon might be the better choice if you wanna properly experience how good their noodles can be
Great udon broth and meat, loved their beef udon. Long queue, but worth the wait if its your first time. The menu is in Japanese but they essentially sell udon and different tempura add ons. I recommend getting the beef udon, there is a generous amount of beef and the broth is soo comforting and tasty - warms the soul. I would say that their tempura is nothing special, i got the tiger prawn which was meaty and not bad, but a little plain and bready. The interior is pretty cool and well lit. Cool interior designs but a little cramped. One thing i did not like was the music - they kept playing rock and the guitar sounds were really loud.
First experience of " Udon" noodles and Tempura. Delicious, satisfying and fun. Fast service. Used Google translate for menu. Would love to repeat the experience.
Wow. Just wow. Go here. Don’t think twice. My only complaint is that I will never look at Udon the same way again in life. I am so glad I stumbled across Maruka. This small little shop will not disappoint. They have no English menu, but the server was incredibly nice and helped recommend what to order in broken English, which did not disappoint. I got the most delicious handmade Udon I’ve ever tasted with shrimp tempura. The noodles were life changing, the broth was perfect. Everything about this meal was incredible. There may be a line outside when you get here, but don’t fret - it moves quick and is 1000% worth it.
