It would be disrespectful to call Cignale Enoteca just a restaurant - it was an unforgettable and unique dining experience. After being sat at one of the 9 seats, the imitate evening begins with the friendly team of chefs showing you exactly what’s for dinner in a beautiful display of fresh fish, veggies, meat and for us, a live lobster. One after another, the beautifully plated dishes are placed in front of you. You never feel rushed to finish your plate - it seemed like the chef personally knew me and knew that I am naturally slow eater and cooked every dish to perfection just in time when I finished the prior. I was nervous about eating specifically an Italian-Japanese Omakase because I am small and naturally I end up with leftovers at any normal restaurant and what’s more filling than pasta? This never came to be an issue for me at Cignale Enoteca - the portion sizes were absolutely perfect and even after dessert, I did not feel overly full nor did I feel still hungry like I sometimes do at other fine dining establishments. They absolutely nailed the phrase “Barriga llena, corazón contento” 💖 We will be back for more in the future! If there’s any specific reason for my return to Tokyo, it would be to experience Cignale Enoteca again. Thank you!!!!!!!
Delicious at highest quality with amazing service and friend staff embedded in a beautiful and cosy restaurant atmosphere describes it the best! Very seasonal hand picked ingredients by the chef. Reservations need to be made months in advance for a reason! Just lovely and definitely a memorable experience!
It would be a mistake to plan a visit to Tokyo without making a reservation at this incredible restaurant. The personal service and amazing food were unforgettable. The chef trained and cooked at legendary Chez Panisse in Berkeley, CA, USA, and his imaginative cuisine reflects this experience. We sat with just 8 other guests at a counter where we could see each dish being prepared and engage in conversation with the chef. Another highlight was being seated next to a local who frequents the restaurant and who shared his enthusiasm for the food. We were more familiar with Italian cuisine than Japanese, and the chef’s interpretations of both helped us better appreciate the flavors that Japanese cooking offers.
It's our second time dining at Cignale Enoteca. Surprised how the Japanese worked within such a confined space yet capable of serving one of the best Italian food ever. Their home-made bread & pasta were amazing... Never tried clams so juicy and bouncy before. The place itself is a bit secluded and even Google Map couldn't get it right. A must try!
