Great place! The line was long and a 90-minute wait. We were able to take a reservation at the time, and they called us. In the meantime, I went shopping with my family. When they called us, we went down the stairs and pre ordered our food and waited in line. Getting into the room, there were small seats to sit in, and a little table with some instructions on it. There were blockers, so you could not see the employees or my family. If you ordered a half boiled salted egg, you get to unwrap it yourself, and the instructions are on a little sheet taped to the table. I decided to get the original tonkutsu ramen with my own decisions for things like stiffness of noodles and if you wanted pork in your ramen. After all this, you get your ramen and take some pictures, and start slurping it down. Loved the ramen with a nice tonkutsu flavor! The egg is super good and easy to slurp and eat while the meat is chewy but easy to eat with and amazing broth and perfect noodles. Got the matcha pudding, which was not the best and too rich for me. The pudding looked good but wasn't my favorite. Overall, the meal was super good, and just the only downfall was the pudding and wait. The employees don't talk much and you don't see their faces. The place is warm and has some hangers for jackets and other clothing. They have a bathroom and there is a lot of toilet paper there which was super funny to me and there was a link that you could visit if you had to use the urgent secret weapon for doing your business.😅😂My second time coming to Ichiran and obviously my favorite too. Although I do not recommend getting the instant ramen because it is a lot worse than the ramen that you eat inside the store and is too salty. Plus, if you do like the ramen even after this warning, you should get it at a convenience store because they are a lot cheaper there.
If you’ve ever wandered through Don Don Donki, you’ve probably noticed the iconic Ichiran instant ramen packs lining the shelves. But nothing compares to experiencing the real thing fresh at Ichiran Shibuya. From the moment you step in, the unique private dining booths set the stage for an immersive solo dining experience. Ordering is seamless with the customizable preference sheet — I enjoyed tailoring my ramen to the perfect richness, spiciness, and noodle texture. The staff is efficient, ensuring everything arrives piping hot and exactly as requested. The ramen itself? Absolutely divine. The creamy tonkotsu broth is rich and flavorful, perfectly balanced with the signature spicy red sauce in the center. The noodles had an excellent bite, and the chashu pork was tender and melt-in-your-mouth good. Adding a soft-boiled egg elevated the experience further. The atmosphere is clean, focused, and authentically Japanese. Whether you’re a ramen aficionado or a first-timer, Ichiran Shibuya is an experience worth savoring.
Ichiran was a brilliant experience! The concept of dining in a private booth was so unique, allowing me to fully enjoy the incredible ramen. The broth was rich and flavourful, the noodles perfectly cooked. It’s a must-try for any ramen lover visiting Japan!
The ramen here is amazing, and there are so many ways to customize it! You can choose how firm you want the noodles and adjust the spiciness of the broth to your liking. I loved it so much, I even ordered an extra serving of noodles!
