My go to katsu place in Nishiazabu. Simple, rustic and it's all about the pork which is delicious. Highly recommend. The pork is tender and juicy, the batter is crunchy and not overly oily. Get the pickles and enjoy the refills on the cabbage.
All foreigners when I dined here for dinner so you can figure. The fried batter was great, the pork was a bit dry but it was still a good tonkatsu. Worth a try so that you do not #FOMO but definitely just as good ones at Ur convenience in Tokyo. Nice old school restaurant setting as well and service staff were friendly and welcoming.
Such a great experience here! The pork is top quality, fried to perfection, and the side sauce is amazing. The staff were lovely, checking in to see if I needed more rice or soup. And the old Japanese house ambiance is so charming—I was seated on the second floor, which added to the whole vibe. Can’t wait to come back!! Highlights: akadashi (not many restaurants in Tokyo serve this!), sauce, and vibes.
One of Tokyos best places to enjoy Tonkatsu. Great restaurant with fantastic staff and a very cozy environment! Hard to get a set so reserve ahead.
