We made a reservation and dined on the second floor in a private room. The atmosphere was fantastic, as our group could enjoy the meal in a separated and relaxed setting. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, even down to the sauces. We had a course meal, and everything was not only delicious but also beautifully and neatly presented. It was a stark contrast to some of the busier and less tidy motsunabe restaurants we’ve been to.
Last minute decision and it was a perfect choice. Dined with a 3 year old and he enjoyed it too (although he only had rice and soup mixed together). We also tried fried beef tongue and it was something new. Love the service and atmosphere. Hope to visit again soon!
For dinner, we had famous Hakata Motsunabe hotpot and Spicy cod roe! Arrived 8:45pm with no reservation, waited in line along with other young locals and and seated in 20 minutes! Inside has all beautiful classic wood flooring, must put your shoes in their lockers! Seated on cushions with your leg and feet inside the square space under the table, unique Japanese style! Hotpot came with sizzling soup and beautiful presentation. Soup comes with different vegetables which is very delicious 😋 but truly they are toooo fat and chewy though it said HIGH-COLLAGEN 😂We won’t recommend for the healthy diet😅
My wife found this store on line through reviews. They serve the cow innards as their specialty. I know, it sounds terrible which is why she didn't tell me when she ordered. I've had this stuff before as a kid and it was tough and not good. I swore I would never eat it again but when she told me half way through the meal what I was eating at first I didn't believe her. I started looking closely at what I was eating and was amazed at how great this dinner was. Only down side, just like all of the other great resteraunts in Japan, you have to stand in line for 30-45 minutes. Do this meal - you will not regret it!!
