Not to be missed. This was recommended as the first place to visit on my visit to Fukuoka from Tokyo. Square bowl, slightly different broth. Waited 40 mins at lunch, but the staff were well organized and very friendly. Excellent. If you're new to Ichiran just go with all the standard options. Get the set with the extra fixings and a ticket for a kaidama. Save the fixings for the kaidama. Order the kaidama as soon as your meal arrives and you won't need to spend 5 minutes staring at your empty bowl of soup.
For Ichiran fans, here’s something truly special: the Kamadare Tonkotsu Ramen, available only at this exclusive branch in Fukuoka! This unique bowl elevates the classic Ichiran experience with a richer, more aromatic twist developed over years of perfecting the dashi made from premium sliced pork. Priced at ¥980 (plus ¥140 for a half-boiled egg), this ramen includes garlic, green onions, Ichiran’s signature spicy red sauce, and thicker, juicier pork slices that are fattier and packed with flavour. The highlight is the dashi broth, stewed from pork to create a thicker, sweeter, and deeply umami-filled tonkotsu soup that surpasses the standard version in complexity and richness. The enhanced flavours and luxurious texture of the pork make this dish a must-try for those who crave a more intense ramen experience. If you’re an Ichiran devotee, don’t miss this exclusive gem—it’s a game-changer!
For me best Ramen ever sometimes it be a lineup, but it’s definitely worth the wait. Definitely put the egg and seaweed inside.
The queue was about 15 persons. It took 15 min to Q outside the restaurant. We were given an order sheet to select ramen options. After entering, we order via a machine. Once the ticket was issued, there was another Q inside the restaurant. When the seat is available, you can ushered into a cubicle. The food came quickly. The whole meal took half the time to Q. Ramen tasted very good. Whole process remind one of just on time factory procedure.
