This is a very popular 1.5 century old Parsi restaurant located in the streets of the camp area. The restaurant has maintained its heritage over the centuries and is uncompromising in the food and satisfaction for customers. This vintage restaurant can be trusted for the quality of meat and other ingredients. This restaurant has won many awards. There is very limited space in the vicinity of the restaurant for parking 4 wheelers. I parked my car on the MG Road and walked down to this restaurant which took me less than 10 mins on foot. The in restaurant staff can adjust the spice level as per your request. Being a vintage gem they have maintained the interiors in old fashion like what most restaurants (more popularly called as hotels in those days) did in the past reminding me of my childhood days. The air flow is managed with fans and coolers. It could get stuffy and warm during summer.
What a place... Legendary place, delicious food, great service. 150 years old restaurant, still as good as ever. Had mutton cutlet, mutton kebab. Both were just too good. Seasoning perfect. Then ordered mutton salli keema with pav. The dish is minced mutton topped with thin sliced potato fries. Also tried local soft drink again over 140 yrs old. Sugar content was lesser than pepsi or coke. Must try is d caramel custard, which i missed as i already over ate. Utterly polite server bhaiya. 1 of the best meal & restaurant experience.
Love the imported food items ! They are fresh & not expired Where as other stores do sell fake stuff But dorabjee should also run good sales
Visited the Balewadi branch this week. Have been to other outlets in Camp and Pavillion mall previously, multiple times. All outlets are good and provide a different range of products as compared to other supermarkets. Esp some imported stuff from international cuisines can be shipped here. Prices are generally not discounted. They also have an attached wine and beer selling area where some good offers can be there depending on your luck.
