For many years I had this wish to visit Oberoi as I had heard a lot about their gr8 Hospitality . This time during my Mumbai visit , I suddenly planned a visit to the Hotel & thought of having my dinner out there . It was a magical experience as the hotel itself is out of the world . The hospitality , food presentation was just brilliant . I had my food in Ziya . After visiting now I have decided that my business will be taken to such a level that I can book my rooms over here . Thanks for the wonderful memory which you people gave me . It's a nice place to bring your better half & surprise her which I will do some day, Trust me it will be a beautiful memory for her . Will come back soon ♥️🌈✅️😃
After watching the final table my wife and I really wanted to visit one of Vineet Bhatia‘s restaurant. And it was not upto the expectations. A simple comparison the prawn at leopold cafe was way better than the prawn I had at Ziya. My wife and I had the seven course chefs tasting for dinner during our visit to Mumbai. Table setting and Presentation was 9/10 4 courses out of 7 were salty. It seemed like they used the same marinade for all 4 meats (shrimp, lobster, chicken, lamb). Which was very sad. My favorite of all the courses was the fish. Very delicately cooked. The dessert has to be the show stopper.. but was disappointing. Cutting down on number of courses and focusing more of each course would be more valuable. In my opinion.!!
Although we normally do not really like restaurants in hotels we gave ZiYA a try. We had a truly great experience in Indian fine dining. We chose the 8 course set menu and every dish was excellent. Very fine cuisine, great taste of different spices and very nicely arranged. The service was excellent too. Thank you to Mehak and Siddarth fortnehme highly professional and friendly service. If you are a fan of Indian cuisine and a foodie, it’s a must do when in Mumbai.
Great meal for my sister’s 60th Birthday. Service was good. Delicious food - fabulous mutton curry and very tasty dal makhani. Menu was creative interpretation of traditional dishes. Only thing that let it down was a cold chicken biryani which had clearly been inadequately reheated rather than cooked from fresh.
