Giving the Chinese traditional feeling once you enter the restaurant Service is giving the personal touch to collect and change plates and bowls for dishes for our taste buds to not mix up. Food is great, hard to find Chinese restaurants and the taste brings back the China old town feel. Chinese living in india will surely love it while they miss home cooked food. Very decent Chinese asian food served. Totally worth my taste buds. Good job. Keep it up

Ling’s Pavilion, a very old Chinese restaurant situated in Colaba, very close Regal cinema and Gateway of India. This is a very old and authentic joint and I think the best Chinese restaurant in Mumbai and by Chinese I mean authentic Chinese and not Indian street Chinese. Lovely old school ambience, mind blowing food with subtle but perfect taste… You will get liquors as well… Their Chimney Soup is famous but the quantity is huge so you have to have at least 4, 5 people to finish it… Besides that I love their Pork Ribs… One of the best I have had both in Bombay as well as in Kolkata… Soft, Tender, Juicy with perfect smoky flavour. All the preparations are very good and given the quality and quantity their price is also justified… It’s more of a premium restaurant you can say. The one thing which needs to be mentioned is their employees who serves and takes order are so polite and very very nice… Their behaviour is always very co operating and they will guide you perfectly according to your appetite and intentions… It’s a must go to place if you’re in Town or in Colaba don’t miss it…

Several dishes ordered and all were either too sweet or too salty. Last visited this restaurant over 20 years ago and had fond memories so slightly disappointed with quality of food. Service was excellent.

What does Chinese food mean to you ? There is something called Real Chinese food that Indians won’t be able to eat and there is Indian Chinese that the country loves. I believe there could be something in between and the last remaining Chinese restaurants in India owned and operated by the asylum seekers who settled in India in the 1950’s to escape from persecution by the communist regime of the time in China have given this gift to India. Lings Pavilion is one of these rare remaining relics of another age. An age past it’s prime and that will never come back. I back to Lings regularly to relish its offerings as much as I can before this age passes as the next generation of this class of restauranteurs has long since left India to find better shores having been completely marginalized in Indian society. Food is memories and Lings does its job very well. The decor hasn’t changed since inception over 30 years ago when Nanking shut down thankfully for us the owners found space close by to give this city a taste of Chinese food mid way between Indian-Chinese and the real stuff. The core menu also remains unchanged since inception giving adage to the saying that don’t try to fix it if it ain’t broken. You enter the restaurant in 2024 and go back to 1990 once inside and experience going back in time for free. From a one dish meal like pan fried noodles with everything in it to fried chicken wings with beer, Nanking special soup with crabmeat, sea world and Singapore chili crab and my absolute favorite - chilly chicken with bones, you just can’t go wrong with the food. May you keep going as long as you wish to and my thanks to the Ling family for giving us Lings Pavilion. Ai shenghuo.
