The Table

It is no surprise that they were No 2 in the list of 50 best restaurants in India. The food and service were excellent. We ate a range of dishes and each one was as good as the next. We topped it off with a passion fruit dessert which was the perfect end to a perfect meal. Definitely worth a trip to The Table. We'll be back!!!

Recommend to reserve and go. Valet parking available There is a seating on the ground floor as well as on the 1st floor accessible through a wooden staircase. In case of mobility challenges do mention your choice of sitting downstairs. The decor is a combinations of modern and traditional. The huge chandelier like lights form the ceiling was very classy and stylish that caught my attention. It’s a fine dining restaurant and thus the waiters are extremely warm and helpful. I visited with my daughter and were eagerly looking to chat up. The music was low that indeed allowed us to have a nice conversation along with the food. We started with chicken wings that was served in bbq sauce and was yummy. We followed it with Lasagna Verde which had quite a handsome serving of cinnamons that had a lasting effect on the tongue and was quite enjoyable. It’s actually served over a large leaf that kind of melts in the mouth. Very different and something I liked Finally we ordered a full roasted hen which was delicious. Last but not the least we ordered a Tiramisu cake to end the day on a high. I would surely recommend the place to celebrate any special occasion. The pricing is benevolent so expect a minimum of 5k for 2 person

As we wrapped up 3 weeks of enjoying southern India's wonderful cuisine, we were ready to see what Mumbai could do with a Western flair. The Table delivered. The two of us decided to share 4 of the menu's intriguing small plates: smoked lamb ribs, fuyu shaved fuyu persimmon and mimolette salad, crispy risotto al salto (loved the crispiness) and grilled tiger prawns with goat cheese. Every one was excellent, but the standout was the persimmon salad, which with its creme fraiche and pecans bordered on a taste sensation. Never had anything like it! We didn't really have room for dessert, but we couldn't resist trying the cheesecake baked in fig leaves, with a a fig accompaniment. Somehow we managed to finish it! We tasted two white wines, a sauvignon blanc and a blend of sauvignon and chardonnay before deciding on the very smooth sauvignon. Delicious. We had read reviews mentioning the noise level in the restaurant, and we also really dislike music that is too loud. The sound level started out just fine, but as the meal went on and people filled up the surrounding tables, the music got louder. There's no point in this. We could hear each other just fine, but if there were four of us, it would have been more difficult. Give diners a break and hold down the noise. This restaurant is too lovely for that. Make reservations in advance in season. We tried to get in on a Saturday at the last minute, and it was totally booked, so we made reservations for Monday.
