I've been visiting the bhojnalaya since 1976. Till date there has been no compromise in variety, quality & quantity. Hat's off to the owner GAUTAM, whom I have known for over 2 decades. Prior, I knew his father, who would boast of using the best of ingredients and the son has followed the father THE ONE & ONLY BEST BHOJNALAYA FOR A WHOLESOME & DELICIOUS THALI IN MUMBAI. Do visit.
1) using a car to reach here is a strict no-no...do not even think of it unless you want to waste your time..best is to take a cab to reach the place. The roads are very narrow and it is impossible to park on the road nearby.(1 km radius)..unless you are very very lucky.... 2) if you have a chauffeur car then your driver can sit in the car till you finish your lunch/dinner..otherwise not possible. 3) Restaurant is on the first floor so senior citizens need to understand this in case any issues pertaining to stair climbing, although I seem to have seen a lift which was not working at that time... 4) There is a queue and you have to pay first and take coupon...week day cost Rs.600/- per head. 5) Food was good no complaints. 6) Atmosphere was good..family type.... 7) Restaurant has a washroom.... 8) Service was normal... 9) Cleanliness seems to have been maintained 10) Have no idea what would be situation about parking on weekends....as we have visited on a working day...
Awesome place for gujrati thali lovers. Always have a short waiting time. Well organised, first come first serve. No partiality. Spacious and large seating area for solo, couples or big groups. Clean and neat. Excellent service with love. Thali is huge. Have to begin with small portions of each item. Then later enjoy the dish you liked the most. Six types of Sweet dishes, three types of vegetables, seven types of chapatis, three kinds of rice, undhyo in season is a must have. Chaas is soothing. Over ate. Each item is delicious.
The food here was some of the best thali we have had in India, so much flavour, very good service with friendly staff, great explanation of what everything was, different types of delicious dessert to finish off a lovely meal
