Hotel Shadab, one of the famous biryani outlets in Hyderabad is located around 1km from Charminar. Biryani tastes good, not the worth of hype, people have created. It's super crowded, no matter when you go. People managing crowd inside the hotel are extremely rude, have no respect for customers, they ill-treat as if they are serving biryani for free. There is absolutely no hygiene there. The plates seem to be washed only once, just by dipping in a pool of water. Dont ask for a glass at all, it's very bad. Even the pieces in biryanj were very limited for the exorbitant price they charge at the cost of rude staff behavior and rubbish atmosphere. Giving three stars only for the sake of biryani taste, else not worth at all. They don't accept card of UPI payments, carry cash.
Paya was good. Mutton dum biryani was good too. The only problem was the weekend rush, even on the AC floor there wasn't any space and we had to wait for 15 mins. The building is quite old so the atmosphere wasn't that good. Price for the food was good and quantity was sufficient for 2. The overall service needs improvement as people were quite busy due to rush and wasn't very responsive.
Butter garlic Shrimps were excellent, the lamb briyany was good but a little more meat would be good. On the roof 3th floor you sit very comfortable with AC and also the service is very friendly and professional.
Definitely the best place to have Hyderabadi Biryani. This is located at Old City, near Charminar. People, who are Biryani-lovers and want to try Hyderabadi Biryani, should visit this place and not Paradise. The must try things here : •Biryani of your choice •Rumali Roti •Pakistani Chicken •Shahi Tukda Paya is available only during the morning. Haleem only during Ramzan. Only cash is accepted on the ground floor, the AC section takes card. No UPI here. And, if you are going alone, they won't allow you to sit in the AC Section.
