I was looking for something a little bit special at the Indian Accent. Unfortunetly, whilst the food was good, it was not superb. I took the tasting menu and the reserve wine that was paired with each course (food £55 and wine £89) which comes to £144 (what I would expect to pay in a high end London restaurant). The wine measurements were far from generous, a couple of sips and gone, although did go quite well with each course. As for the food. Each course was pleasant enough but no dish had me begging for a second helping. Even the lamb shank for the main was a bit plain, although it did have gold leaf on it.
Great experience - very good food, ambience and service. Chef’s tasting menu is the best way to enjoy Indian Accent. Great place to celebrate special occasions. Plan to book 2-3 weeks in advance to ensure availability on your preferred dates and timeslots.
Booked to go to Indian Accent as we were staying at The Lodhi. A completely bizarre policy to not accept guests younger than 10 to "respect the dining experience". Quite pretentious and unwelcoming. Even as a stayed guest, found it ridiculous.
Indian Accent is losing its appeal lately and is resting on its reputation and laurels. There has to be some more thought to the flavours with some of the vegetarian dishes which taste positively unpalatable. The breads and desserts were outstanding though! Great service too.
