I had a small layover in Delhi when i was travelling from Leh to Bangalore. So I decided to try out a few iconic eateries. I took the airport express line metro and reached Purani Dilli. I had my breakfast at this place. The place was crowded. I had their famous Bedmi Puri and Nagori Halwa. It was served with aloo and chhole subzi. The taste was absolutely delicious. There is no seating area. Either you can stand and eat it or get it parceled. They are one of the iconic eateries in the town and definitely worth a try.
Great footfall here . Food drill starts from 830 am. People throng for Bedmi poori chole, alu ki subzi, desi ghee halwa, lassi, dryfruit sweets, rasmalai at the most affordable price. Taste pretty good over 100 years serving traditional Delhi breakfast. 750 m away from chowri bazar metro station exit gate no2. Worth a visit.
Shyam sweets is a family run Business popular with locals and tourists alike. It's one of the places that maintains quality over years. They serve an array of tasty sweets and snacks. We tried the lassi and it was tasty.
Sumptuous traditional Delhi food. Quick service, very responsive staff. Heavy and spicy food is the hallmark. A cold sweet lassi is a must with your food. Directly on a busy road, with lots of noise and dirt.
