Mon Repos is a charming restaurant located beside Kadriorg Park in Vonnu, Estonia, offering a delightful dining experience in a beautiful old wooden villa. The ambiance is enhanced by a gorgeous outdoor patio adorned with colorful flowers, creating a perfect spot for lunch or dinner. Customers appreciate the exceptional service and the creative European and Central European cuisine. While the restaurant boasts a high rating of 4.6 on Google and 4.5 on TripAdvisor, recent reviews indicate some inconsistency in food quality, particularly with main courses. Nevertheless, the inviting atmosphere and attentive staff make it a popular choice for both locals and tourists, especially those visiting the nearby contemporary art museum.

We’ve been occasional visitors of this restaurant for years. In the past, it consistently offered premium food at a reasonable price—higher than average, but worth it—paired with top-notch quality every time. Unfortunately, recently, it’s become hit or miss. The restaurant still has a wonderful atmosphere and exceptional service, but the consistency in the kitchen has declined. During our latest visit, everything was excellent except for the duck, which was overcooked. However, the prawns and everything else on the duck plate were still delicious. In my opinion, given the recent inconsistency, it’s no longer worth the price.
Tucked to the side of Kadriorg Park, this is a delightful restaurant for lunch or dinner. Spend the day at the park and do not miss the contemporary art museum!
Mon Repos has a lovely setting in a beautiful old wooden villa, gorgeous outdoor patio with wonderful flowers and really nice interior. Also the service was impeccable. We had a late family lunch in the garden. The food was a mixed experience. All our starters (bouillabaisse, blinis, beef carpaccio, tomato&burrata salad) were fantastic. Unfortunately the main courses were not equally well prepared. The entrecote (ordered medium) was rare, the burger patty was also rare and the duck fillet was cold. The desserts were nice again. Perhaps a bad day at the kitchen?
Very disapointing evperience. We sat outside. The tables were unclean. Waiter forgot almost everything. She was a master in ignoring. It is not even close to Michelin suggestion.
