The access to the restaurant is certainly impressive, very green and refreshing with trees and foliage lining the access road. The interior decor is also very nice. Service level is good, with attentive waiters and waitresses. Unfortunately, the food is too oily for our palate. Probably it is normal for the locals but is definitely too oily for us, especially 2 dishes, a fried eggplant and a clayport chicken, which were "swimming in oil". So, if oily food is not for you, this restaurant is not recommended. However, if you are fine with it, go and savour the environment and the food.

Our Nexus Holidays Tour brought us to this restaurant hidden in a gated, serene park. The place is surrounded by a pond and beautiful greenery. Its like a park, with a restaurant hidden here. Many people come here, as it was dubbed by our tour as the best restaurant in Hangzhou. The dishes ordered for us was to sample signature, famous Hangzhou cuisine. The dong po rou was the best of all the dishes, with the crispy bean curd coming in second. However the worse was the fish. Too many bones that our group decided to leave most of it after a few bites out of annoyance. The restaurant seemed to exude a semi-exclusive vibe to it but we did not find it all that busy. And even though the restaurant seem nice, it was still a squat toilet and smells of urine. Yuck.
