As a Central American from Adelaide where authentic Mexican is limited, I was very happy to come to Mamasita and have an experience that felt close to home! The food was delicious and full of flavour and I was very happy to see corn tortillas similar to the ones I eat at home! Everything was delicious. The atmosphere is definitely more like a bar and if you walked in you wouldn't really know it's a Mexican restaurant as there's no Latin music playing. However, this is a small thing to pick at - the rest of our experience here was amazing!
Came here for a work Christmas party on a Friday night. The restaurant (in my opinion) is narrow and tight. It’s wasn’t very bright, and it was very noisy - we had to shout to speak to each other to be heard. But this could be because it was a Friday night. Not sure what it’s like other times during the week. Our table was held for 2 hours with a set menu. I didn’t think the food was that great to be honest. But that could just be my personal preference. Or maybe because it was a set menu and I couldn’t choose? The flavours were….interesting but not really a place I would come back to. I have tried another Mexican place in the city (I honestly forgot the name of it! But I think it was on Collin’s st and near to springs st also....?) and that place I really liked! Anyhow, the waiters were good though, friendly and professional. Also, the toilets were very dark, but at least clean. The restaurant itself wasn’t too obvious to find, the sign with the name of the restaurant was small. In saying all this though, I’m sure others would enjoy Mamasita more than me! Like I said, it could be just down to personal preference…however I have tried other Mexican restaurants in which I really enjoyed their meals.
Hands down one of the best restraints I have been to thus far 🙌🏻 My partner and I came here for dinner a few months ago and we absolutely loved this place. The food is sensational and the drinks were just as good. We still rave on about how good the tacos are and have recommended this place to sooooo many people. We have already planned to come back! There’s so much more to try. Definitely need to book, it is quite busy. The staff are lovely too, there’s not one negative thing to say. Love how everything is GF too 🙌🏻
Mamasitas is a favorite of ours. The food is delicious, the staff always fun. You always leave with your mouth tingling with flavors. The corn isa favorite ❤️
