Party of 8. Was disappointed to be placed in the basement. It doesn’t follow the atmosphere of upstairs and lacks some service. Food was OK nothing to ride home about. Too sweet. Also wasn’t impressed by the portions we spent 600+ for a lunch of eight and half of our party was children. Will probably not return and not recommend. Pre-pandemic used to be a fun joint for drinks and snacks. Now less.
Went in on a Monday night about 830pm, didn’t have a booking for two but was able to be seated within a few minutes. The vibe was very 80s retro upmarket Asian fusion. Loud music and loud decor in a low lit dining setting. We ordered cocktails which were delicious. We then ordered the pork pancakes, which you make yourself at the table and it comes with 4 pancakes, which is nice for two people to share. We then ordered the stir fried prawn egg noodles and the green beans to share. It was the perfect amount for a later evening dinner and not be too full. $130 for two people was a bit expensive but food was wonderful if only a little small on portion sizes for price point.
A group of food and wine loving friends visiting from interstate made a reservation in great anticipation. Very disappointed with the exception of the young waiter who served us who was truly diligent in his level of service. Food was ordered and we ordered the meals to come out so we could all share. All the food came out at once and if wasn’t for the great service of our waiter who sent some of the food back we would have had food spilling over onto other tables while we had our first courses. Now the food would have had better food at some takeaway joints at 1/10th of the price. Overpriced and under delivered! We are all involved the wine industry so we were looking forward to the Albariño from Beechworth which was beyond it’s life! We should have done something about that but we’re beyond anything after the bad food and then bad wine. Please pick up your game as I would love to come back with my husband and enjoy the whole experience again! Also turn the music down!!!!!! Also
We had the feed me and matching wines, great experience, the food is fantastic, the butter chicken exceptional. Thank you staff and chef. We had to leave a tip for the waitress. Thank you for a wonderful experience. The Murphy’s
