The Chicken Devil and Biriyani were absolutely amazing! The Chicken Devil was spicy and flavorful, while the Biriyani was perfectly aromatic with tender chicken and rich spices. It was so delicious we couldn’t stop eating long enough to take good pictures. Highly recommend! Chathuranga at the Bundoora restaurant was so helpful when we went to place the order.
This is easily the best spot for Sri Lankan food in Melbourne. I have tried a few places in the CBD but nothing compares to Serendib. Their Devilled chicken fried rice is so good—I’ve had it so many times and it never disappoints. I also recommend their Lamprais. It’s a village-style version, so not exactly traditional but it’s delicious. The cashew nut curry and the chicken are cooked so well. Definitely worth trying!
Recommended by our guide so went along for dinner. Yes it was good but nothing special. Dogs hanging about for food put me off but there was live entertainment which made it worthwhile.
Several of us went to Serendib to watch the UEFA semi-final football match between England and the Netherlands, which started at 0030 in the morning. England won 2:1 after an excellent game.
