First time I've dined here and I'll definitely return. Food was delicious. Our waiter was professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes and he also had a sense of humour. I really liked the fact that he didn't rush us and explained the dishes when he brought the menus. The ambience of the dining area was perfect for a catch up with family and friends. It was peaceful with no dreadful music, which was a big plus for me. So often one has to shout at dining companions over the music. MoVida excels in all aspects. Food, service, atmosphere. I'd recommend without hesitation.
The food and service was impeccable! I love going to movida, they remain one of the best restaurants in Melbourne consistently! The new addition of paella to the menu is a smash hit… although you have to wait 40mins for it to be prepared it’s worth the wait. The flavours are balanced and there’s plenty of seafood, although a bit more rice would have been nice. Really enjoy coming here for special occasions every few years
This place serves the best tapas I have had outside Spain. The wine list is extensive and international. Service was efficient and friendly. Restaurant is purpose fitted and efficient.
The friends who we were travelling with had previously been to MoVida Aqui so they had made a reservation for the four of us. A beautiful restaurant we were immediately seated and our waitress inquired if we were acquainted with Spanish food which my wife and I were not. She happily ran through the menu explaining the Aperitivos, Tapas and Raciones and made recommendations on how many dishes from each category should be selected. As we were sharing all the dishes we settled on our choices and then settled in for what turned out to be a continuous parade of wonderful dishes. Those coupled with the jugs of Sangria made for a very memorable dining experience which all four of us thoroughly enjoyed. All in all our first experience with Spanish food was a huge hit and we would not hesitate to return again in future.
