Had the best time here and the staff was so accommodating. Food with flavor and they know their wines and cocktails to blend with each dish. Highly recommend the prawn appetizer and the wagyu flank was melt in the mouth with perfect seasoning.
The service here is exceptional. Very rare to find such fantastic service. When we had an issue with a dish, it was addressed immediately no questions asked and we were offered complimentary starter while we waited for the dish to be fixed. Overall as a vegetarian I enjoyed the mushroom croquette packed with flavour! The stratiacella was also delicious. Unfortunately the zucchini pasta was too tangy and I didn't enjoy it. I wish there were more vegetarian options for mains. Overall a good experience.
Booked this little Italian restaurant for AFL GF 2024. Service was outstanding. Greeted at the door and all staff were very accommodating to our needs (had a tight schedule so needed to be in and out within 1h15m). Very industrial modern indoor decor. Menu was modern Italian and catered for all dietary requirements. We had calamari, lamb, gnocchi and garden leaf salad. All meals were shared. Loved the protein dishes. The salad wasn’t to my liking. Leaves were large, dressing a little bland and radishes tasteless. In hind sight should’ve ordered side serve of potatoes. Home made bread that was served pre meal was warm and delicious. Restaurant is quite expensive too. Not one for kids. Would score 4.5/5. Had it not been for the disappointing salad I would have scored 5/5.
Never been to Osteria, was looking forward. Under whelming interior, felt a bit grotty. Service was built around upselling 1st, , friendly enough staff, somm was the best of the crew, purchased a French Chardonnay $$$, then a young waiter started at our table, rough as guts, over poured the wine, was pushy at the table. Food was good but not to the level I thought, everything looked a bit tired. When our mains were cleared the young waiter came over immediately offering desserts as we were still trying to wash the Gurnard down. He said if no desserts we would need to leave soon. 10 minutes later we paid the bill with a lesser tip because of the bullish service. Young guy came over and said we had to leave in the next few minutes, it was really poor form. No manager on the floor that I saw. Wouldnt go back, nicer rooms and service else where. Oh the playlist sounded like Triple M.
