Food was delicious, loved it!! We got the Chef's platter. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a bit loud, which made it hard to talk, but I think that's down to the guests more than anything else. Great!
The Abyssinian Restaurant - Chef’s Platter for 2 persons $58 (meat) - Chef’s Platter for 3 persons $90 (meat) - Chef’s platter for 2 persons $48 (veg) Finally fried Ethiopian food for the first time. It was an eye-opening experience. We ordered a few chef’s platters. It is a mixed main dishes served on a bed of Injera. I opted for fish, chicken and veggies only as I am not a fan of lamb/goat. The curries were flavourful. The Injera was like pancakes but on the sour side. I feel like it’s a bit similar to Indian food. Atmosphere and service were lovely. Highly recommend to those who are adventurous for something unusual!
Fantastic food and really friendly service. We have been going there regularly for 12 years. My daughter insists on celebrating every birthday, every occasion by coming here for dinner. Jonathan and his crew make you feel special. In addition to food they have wonderful tea and Ethiopian coffee
Really nice food. My companion and I enjoyed it all - a variety of meats, pulses, vegetables and salad. And all encased in the traditional bread. Utterly delicious
