Did the Tasting Menu and it was worth the cost. The food was great and really tasty. It was a five course meal and it was not too overwhelming at all. The serve size is appropriate. The staff were attentive and friendly!
The Tortelloni was incredible, made with quality ingredients and delicate handmade pasta that was perfectly thin, allowing the flavor of both the pasta and the meat filling to shine. The combination of sauce, pasta, and filling was just outstanding. Every pasta dish we tried stood out. The entrées, however, were less impressive—nothing really caught our attention. We finished with an unforgettable tiramisu. I'll definitely return the next time I'm in Melbourne. It’s one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in a long time, maybe even in all of Australia.
We were were getting very hungry well after normal lunch time when we chanced upon Emilia down a small alleyway and opened the door more in hope than expectation. They were getting to the end of service but welcomed us with open arms and it was like walking into a restaurant in Rome or any big Italian city. The food was top notch and the imported Italian lemonade sublime. My wife had a business meeting the next day and sneaked off without me for a second visit! Not cheap but good quality.
Good northern Italian cuisine. Pastas were well executed. The deconstructed tiramisu was something I didn’t enjoy. Good pleasant experience overall
