Outside of the real high class fine dining lies rare steakhouse for more a casual steak place. Been coming here for years and although the price has gotten more and more expensive the food is still decent for a steakhouse. Chips are very generous in serving. Loved the mushroom sauce and the bread they gave us. Everything else was alright
Fine Dining restaurant in the heart of Melbourne CBD, has 3 floors of dining with the top floor that can be closed off for a private function. Service was attentive, it was one of the waitresses first day on the job, she was polite and did a good job. The price was higher as it's a steakhouse, the best part was the blue cheese sauce and the mac and cheese.
Entrees average - lack of flavour - needed sauces provided. Steaks average. Staff good but forgot to place orders. Had to be reminded.
This place was quite packed when I came on a weekday night. It was highly recommended on most reviews. Service was friendly and fast. The food took a bit of time to arrive but it was because of the crowd. I ordered the bone in rib eye and sunk into the meat in anticipation. While the taste and cooking was good unfortunately the cut itself lacked marbling. Typically a bone in rib eye would be fairly fat and marbled but this cut lacked the marbling and did not matched other rib eyes I had. I wouldn’t say it was disappointing but I had definitely had better ribeyes elsewhere
