The food was lovely, and the service was excellent. The mussels were amazing, though they were on the specials menu and not a regular item. We had a good night thanks to the team.
I went there this evening with my partner for a nice meal, we arrived around 6 pm, we were welcomed at the door and were offered a table very quickly. The food was traditional and amazing. I recommend to look at the specials of the day. The Kir Royal was not too sweet and actually perfect way to start the meal. I had the Cassoulet which on the special menu, I hadn't had a Cassoulet since 2005 or so and it was so nice ! It transported me back home when my mom used to cook it for me. I opted for the fondant au chocolate for desert and it did not disappoint. I would recommend this place for anyone that wants good traditional well done French cuisine with a very nice French ambiance. The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. I will definitely be coming back for some more. For those who think French food has to be expensive I should let you know that they do a Pre Theatre Menu that includes 2 course and a glass of wine for $50 (5 pm to 7pm) not sure what is included in that offer but check it out if you are interested as it is only a short walk from the theatres.
Nice place , rocked up without a booking , 7,30 all good . Friendly and ordered some drinks , very nice , 8,30 received the Menu , still ok as it was very busy 9.15 received the entrees, good without being special, 9,40 received the mains , once again good without a stand out , desert at 10,20 , far to long to wait overall, maybe a little better communication between staff who were doing well under the circumstances, will come in the future
The French Brasserie has a wonderful atmosphere and is a beautifully set experience. A big positive was the wait staff, they were attentive, fun, and helpful. I felt some of the food and drinks were overpriced but understand that this is the way of things and it is hard for good places to survive in the current economic climate. ***Thank you for a great night out. Highly recommended to others.***
