Il Bacaro in Melbourne offers a charming and intimate dining experience, making it an excellent choice for special occasions. My recent visit, arranged by a thoughtful client as a late birthday surprise, showcased the restaurant's commitment to exquisite cuisine. While the waiter enthusiastically described the special of the day, the speed of his delivery made it challenging to fully grasp the details. However, the impeccable service and stunning presentation of each dish easily compensated for this minor setback. I found myself indulging beyond moderation, as the food was simply delightful in both flavor and creativity. Overall, Il Bacaro provides a memorable gastronomic experience. We ordered: Scampi bisque and goat ragu, Burrata and the potato and mint curlugiones, Broccoli and the roasted potatoes.
The food is great, and the service is amazing too. I was just a bit let down that the cured barramundi had a tiny bone in it. However, it was definitely one of the best spaghetti dishes I’ve ever had—definitely worth a visit!
Excellent dinner at Il Bacaro.First rate food especially the calamari as starter and the “slow grown” chicken for main.Quality wine list. Finally attentive service
Probably 8 years since our last visit to this restaurant, but once again we enjoyed an outstanding experience with engaging service and outstanding food. Our Morton Bay Bugs, Suckling Pig, and Angus Ribs choices were memorable especially accompanied with Amarone wine. Highly recommended Italian cuisine dining.
