We really enjoyed dining at Rogue. Upstairs is perfect for couples - a bit quieter for conversation. Dego menu was a delight - well balanced dishes, generous meat portions, artful presentation. Wine pairing was a great compliment. Particular praise for Sam who served us upstairs - personable, funny, attentive - he took the time to make sure we were having a good time. Thank you!
Nestled in a quiet pocket of Newstead, you will find Rogue Bistro. An earthy restaurant with a welcoming and relaxed ambiance. Thoughtfully designed with separated dining sections to offer you a sense of intimacy and with a sensational dining experience - absolutely OUTSTANDING! Dressy casual unpretentious diners and superbly trained service oriented staff for those who appreciate both comfort and a touch of 5 star. Combining a joyously brilliant blending of flavors to delight with every bite and let's not forget the presentation; each dish was visually stunning, an artful feast for the eyes as much as the taste buds. Degustation menu that I would gladly repeat! Portion sizes that provides completely satisfying replenishment of appetite without overwhelming and did I mention the visually extraordinary presentation? Wholly exquisite experience. Highly recommend!
Found the restaurant through reading an article and it did not disappoint. It is in an unusual location and everything is black inside. Did mean lighting not always the best!!The menu is a 5 course degustation and means you can walk away full but not over full as some degustations can be. A very relaxed atmosphere and good managed of allergies or preferences. The table was the biggest pain of the night. Anything water or condensation dropped on it left a mark and this meant I was constantly drying the table it lean in water. Well worth a visit though.
Once again Rogue excelled. I love the way they make sure every meal is perfectly textured. It is the finer details here that make a difference. I have now been 12 times and I will keep going back. I do not understand why this restaurant is not number 1 in Brisbane.
