Chu the Phat went above and beyond our expectations and may be our new favourite restaurant. The service was great. Staff were attentive and helpful with explaining the menu to us (we ordered the regular banquet). We did not feel rushed, the order and timing in which our dishes came out was well organised and paced. Now the food… the food is incredible! The steamed duck buns were definitely a stand out for us, they were super soft and packed with flavour. We got so much food out of ordering the banquet between the two of us, and even got to take home the leftovers! Everything was super fresh which was also a plus. The cocktails were also yummy too, especially the violet spritz. The atmosphere is nice, a little dark and moody if you are sitting downstairs. Perfect for a date night. We will definitely be back for another visit, and would recommend this spot to all.
I’m very glad I finally tried this restaurant. The food is as good as everyone’s been saying it is. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, I am in fact drooling as I am writing this review 🤤. Texture, taste and aroma of the food were all top notch. Dim lighting inside and upbeat music adds to the trendiness. Location in inner city means customers need to find their own car park or catch public transport in but the cultural centre bus station is less than 5 minutes’ walk away.
We had the Lunch Banquet which was a great way to experience the menu. Genuine experienced service and the food was fantastic. We also shared the mango sorbet at the end of the meal, it was ginormous - tennis ball size serving so one is definitely good with two spoons.
Great dining experience with a good atmosphere. Was a really pleasant dining experience with friends. I would recommend coming back ot this place agian.
