You’ll feel like the queen/king that you are. I’ve NEVER been to a restaurant that treats the clients nicer! I absolutely loved it. They even carried my food to the car and PLACED it in the car (they serve soooooo much that there was no way for me to finish)!!!!
Great for angolan tradicional dishes. But pretty expensive, they used to be a buffet, which used to be a reasonable price, since pandemic that has changed. So i would advice to go there once They have returned their buffet. Cause at the moment the prices are pretty expensive. Not a go at the moment, unless you don't mind spending alot.
I give it a three as I just can't fathom the USD50 price tag for the buffet. Also, note that this restaurant is only open Friday-Sunday and holidays. You must go down rutted dirt streets south of Benfica to get here. Oy! However, if you are inured to Luanda prices (and given my whining, I am obviously not yet), your money is fairly well spent here. The choices include, among other things, a couple different calulu preparations, a few fish dishes and a few chicken dishes with ancilliary vegetables and appetizers. It's open-sided with ceiling fans, relatively quiet Angolan tunes and full bar. Beverage prices are reasonable. The service is acceptably pleasant and helpful. I don't know that I would come down here from Cidade Alta too often, but it's not too bad to come from Talatona or thereabouts or perhaps if you going to or from a half-day at Mussolo or are gettin yer craft on at Benfica Market.
