2nd time I have been here and 2nd it was excellent! I like the overall modern kitchen (flavours, ingredients, not too heavy) but when i'm abroad I want to taste the local kitchen. And Drogaria succeeded in doing both: the Portugese kitchen in a modern way. On top of that they have a great winelist (price/quality is extremely good) , a very nice atmosphere and a pleasant service, full of humour. OK it's not based in the busy touristic parts of Lisbon and that's good: Drogaria has a lot more to offer and is worthwhile stepping outside of the touristic part of Lisbon.
Drogaria is a must-visit for those seeking an authentic yet refined taste of Portuguese cuisine away from the tourist trail. Highly recommended. Just outside the bustling tourist spots of the historic city center, the restaurant's warm glow illuminated an otherwise silent street, welcoming us into an atmosphere of both sophistication and comfort. Our starters—Amberjack with smoked chili, tempura zucchini flowers, and leek with black garlic aioli—were exquisite, blending Portuguese tradition with modern flair. The wild hake with razor clams and lemon rice and the roasted suckling pig with apple, fried polenta, and avocado as our mains were perfectly executed, showcasing elevated takes on Portuguese classics. The Azores pineapple with coconut and tapioca provided a alight and tropical finale to an unforgettable meal. Service was impeccable, with a skilled young sommelier recommending a Niepoort Redoma Branco, a beautifully structured Portuguese white wine that paired flawlessly with our dishes. Given the quality of the cuisine, the exceptional service, and the thoughtfully crafted dining experience, Drogaria is a quietly sophisticated delight that is surprisingly affordable. It offers fantastic value for those seeking an authentic yet refined taste of Portuguese cuisine away from the crowds.
