Tried this spot our for the first time and was pleased. My salad was a bit on the warm side which I was not a fan of but after some time in the refrigerator turned out pretty good minus some limp lettuce. Would try again and also would recommend others to try as well.
Wow. A really great menu for breakfast especially. Overall a true cafe selection of beverages and dishes. Really cool ambiance of interesting decor. The quality of food was fresh and seasoned well. American selection of dishes but also full selection of Ethiopian dishes including unique breakfast items. I highly recommend. Great atmosphere for kids and family. Cozy customer service as well. Free WiFi if you choose to stay and work from your computer.
Was looking through Trip Advisor for a fun place for Easter Brunch in a certain part of town. This showed up on the map. What a find! The photos are accurate in that it is a funky small neighborhood place with a lot of charm and friendly owners from Ethiopia. Even though we only ordered an American breakfast, it was flavored with wonderful spices to make it totally unique. Everything was cooked to perfection: Pancake platter , French Toast Platter, Club Sandwich and egg and bacon platter. Don’t forget the yummy Ethiopian Coffee. The seating is very limited both inside and out, but totally worth hanging around to get a seat. I highly recommend eating at this restaurant, especially for breakfast or brunch. They do take out too.
Saw this highlighted in a news article about the best breakfast places in DC. Took the Metro and had a bit of a walk, was there at opening at 0730. Totally worth it. Everyone there was so sweet, so kind and welcoming. Had the Ethiopian breakfast and coffee--the breakfast is easily enough for two. Will be back every time I'm in town and will be bringing friends and family.
