This is one of the best ramens I've had outside of Japan. We were there on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and it was packed. It was cold outside, but we wanted to sit outside with the heaters. They didn't have them available while we were waiting but had turned them on by the time we left. The food was scrumptious. Very rarely do I finish my broth. But I polished off the spicy miso broth. In the words of my toddler, I made a clean plate. Lol! I live in the Boston area and would fly down to DC just to get a bowl of ramen here. I don't know why I said would. I plan on making some Ramen day trips in the future....
Wow! I finally met my spice-match! The Super Spicy Shoyu is just that, spicy! Still enjoyable, the broth is the star of the show. Traveling alone and not too hungry so I didn’t order anything else but I am going to make a point to come back and try another ramen soon! The service is great and I loved being able to eat outdoors.
This ramen shop once served delicious food and got good reviews in the past. Now it's plain awful! Ramen is not only about the noodles, it's the broth that is the draw. Their broth is nasty! It's bitter and obviously made by people who use a checklist. If you look at the cooks - not one is an asian! If you look at the customers - very few or no asians! and this is in Chinatown! Before you eat in any Chinatown, check the customers and see what they are eating. Stylish decor. Service poor. Food mediocre. Expensive for what they serve. Caters to young pups who dont know Asian cuisine.
Visited here again for lunch and loved it. Had the spicy miso with egg sitting at the bar. It was delicious and fast. Will likely visit again in the future.
