My Best Friend & I are always looking for a great spot to eat on our days off. We did stumble upon Purple Patch online a few weeks ago and made it point to finally eat there last night. First off the General Manager Brigette was very friendly, accommodating and talked to us a bit before offering to show us around after dinner. Our server Dennis was an absolute pleasure and made great cocktail and cuisine suggestions for us to try. Everything was excellent from the staff, ambiance and menu. Looking forward to comeback again soon. What a Gem located in Mount Pleasant Washington DC. Cheers!!!!
Great food with interesting mix of flavors. The crispy eggplant was just right, not too greasy. The coconut milk shrimp with kale was exquisite! Their local drinks were refreshing and just right; not too sweet, not too sour. Service was great as the waitress had great suggestions and was very attentive. It has a bar, a seating area on the upper floor, as well as outdoor seating.
This was an extraordinary meal. Truly my all time favorite in DC. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices were absolutely reasonable. And most importantly, the food was incredible! We had a bunch of appetizers for the table including spring rolls, chicken skewers, "crab fat" and fried eggplant. Entrees were equally wonderful with the favorite being a shrimp dish with green beans, spicy peppers and rice. This was a memorable meal and this restaurant is now something I will insist upon every time I’m in DC!
Great food, atmosphere and service. Bohemian in style. Basically a place for the young crowd but oldsters with an open mind will enjoy good food served by friendly waiters.
