Me and my intern came through as a walk in. We were seated right away at the bar, I requested lower seating for us because I’m pregnant and we were accommodated immediately. This food, was the BEST food I’ve placed in my mouth in my entire life. Seriously delicious and extremely good. My lamb was a bit warm and not piping hot, so I asked them to heat it up. They re-fired a brand new lamb and brought it out and it was incredibly delicious. The pumpkin rice dish was out of this world and hot and so colorful in each bite. The hummus with the mushrooms, I literally had to stop and just savor each bite. So impressed. I will certainly be back!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!
We had the 5 course tasting menu, which was modified due to one person with a seafood allergy. The food was very good, there were a few courses that were just okay but overall the food was on point. The cocktails and wine were very tasty. Our server, Irena, was very attentive along with the others. She went out of her way to make the experience worth the expense. If anything I would return because of her. Loved the atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant. Definitely worth the money considering the food and service!
I don’t know where to start from. The royal treatment they gave us, the food, the space? Gabby, The manager and hostess was incredible all along. She made the experience so much more memorable because of the service she gave us prior to arriving as well as while there. Now to the food. Being from a Middle Eastern background, I have grown up with similar food but Albi truly takes it to the next level. The prawns, the tuna naya, the lamb kebab ….all enhanced by amazing spices, marinades, and. presentation. Albi is a must, not to be missed.
I will make it quick. Is it expensive? Oh, yeah. But of was one of the best dining experiences I ever had in my life (not just DC, or the USA). We ate at the Hearth (Chef's) table where the food was cooked right in front of us. The dishes were exquisite, elegant and tantric. There was not a detailed missed in the cooking, design or a presentation. The Chef Michael Rafidi was there at all times guiding the crew. After your visit you understand why this a 2-star Michelin restaurant. My wife has all the pictures. Enough said. If you have questions - ask.
