Nice, small, quaint place. My friend and I went on a Fri for lunch. Nico was our host. He was very helpful with the menu and just overall service was superb. Drinks were made by Nico and he did not disappoint. The jerk wings were delicious especially with the dipping sauce that came with them. We also tried the Trini beef pie. He stated it was spicy but we didn't get any spice, it's was still flavorful. My friend did a personal bowl, I think that's what it was called. It came with roti, curried chicken, and chick peas. The dish did not disappoint. I ordered the pepperpot off the dinner menu. It had brisket, beef stew meat, and oxtail. The flavors were great. Personally I would've liked a bit more oxtail, especially since I got all fat from the brisket. We shared the bread pudding. The bread pudding was a bit overcooked. It wasn't most in the middle and very hard on the outside
Great food!!! Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon with friends for lunch. Great spot. Since it’s on H Street the area is busy, so plan ahead as it may be tough to find parking. As with most storefront locations the space is small, so you may want to get on their waitlist via Yelp. They also offer carry out. The food is amazing. I had the Snapper and Coconut rice. My friend had the Oxtail and Palau. He commented how much meatier their oxtails are compared to other places he’s been. The snapper was garnished with pickled peppers which just added to a great piece of fish (which I demolished). The food is clearly loved as the people coming in to pick up carry out was non stop. Plan ahead for parking and a potential wait, but it is 1000% worth it!!
IN Texas but no ranch or Gravy? Some of us don't like Cane's Sauce, hot sauce with chicken or honey mustard! We want NORMAL options at least Ranch! Ranch is a staple here along with Gravy as a side for your chicken. Provide at least 1 please.
20 Went thru drive through....Got home to eat and there was a black hair in my food....I called and Hassan answered....I told him what I found in my food and he said he didn't believe me-I need to bring it back....Didn't believe me?-I was stunned....I asked for his manager and he said he was in the bathroom...I told him I would wait on hold and he hung up on me....I called back and Hassan put me on hold....Talked to "Superior" Dallas-he doesn't have anyone working there with black hair-thats a lie because the girl who handed me my food at the window was black and her hair wasn't blonde....Dallas said he will try to refund my money and put me in hold-Picked the phone back up and said he "thinks" it was refunded but doesnt know for sure....Unbelievable....Never Again! 1
