We held our office holiday party here last week in their private event space. We had about 16 people. I can't speak highly enough about our experience. Sam was incredible, and made all of our guests feel welcome, special, and taken care of. The food was amazing, and they let me in early to decorate the space. It was truly magical and I would definitely recommend them and their space to anyone looking for an unforgettable evening!

Everything We ordered tasted so perfect :) The portion was very reasonable. I could actually tasted the spiciness in Tagliatelle (which was wonderful because I hate tomate-based pasta dishes). Staff are nice and efficient even though they were short-handed.

I don’t write many restaurant reviews anymore but this was one of the most bizarre and rude service interactions I’ve ever had. First, the food is lovely and so is the space. We began by ordering some wine and a couple of small plates and said we’d like to start there and order our mains in a little while once we’re more settled. But our server insisted we order right away if we didn’t have any questions on the menu. I assumed the kitchen was about to be slammed so we ordered. The kitchen never did get slammed and the place was mostly empty – maybe 3 or 4 other tables at 7:00 p.m. The entrees arrived pretty quickly after our first dishes. Our server hadn’t asked us for a wine selection yet for this course and hadn’t cleared away the dishes from the first courses. They were pretty messy but he was clearly waiting for us to take back our sloppy cutlery to use on the second course. In a cheaper place this would be somewhat expected but at this pricepoint, nope. So we asked for clean cutlery. As soon as we finished our entrees he immediately asked if we wanted to look at the dessert menu. I asked if we could relax with our wine for awhile and take a look in a bit. He insisted we take a menu now. This was now becoming awkward. So we took a menu. He came back in about 90 seconds and pressured us to order now. I calmly repeated that we weren’t ready to order dessert because we still just wanted to relax and finish our wine before thinking about dessert. That triggered him into an angry outburst. He told me in a raised voice to calm down, take it down a notch, take a chill pill, that I was way too anxious and maybe I should order more wine to help with my anxiety. I’m a 61 year old woman and I’m willing to bet he would never speak to a grown man like this. I say nothing back because he’s clearly too fragile to be working front-of-house. When he eventually brought the bill he didn’t show it to us; just took our credit card. If you’re after a nicely paced dinner with a level of service commensurate with the menu and setting you’re in and don’t like being talked down to like a child, this isn’t the place.

My friends and I had an unpleasant, almost cringeworthy experience at IPK, followed by management ignoring my email for weeks and then replying back with a bunch of excuses. First, when my friends and I arrived at IPK, we were slightly early. There was an open table that would have been large enough but the host said that our table wouldn't be ready for quite awhile, well beyond our reservation time, so we should go downstairs to a bar and buy drinks. None of us wanted to do that, but we went downstairs to the bar because the host was not really giving us an option. Before we ordered drinks downstairs, the host came and told us the table was ready. The next thing was even weirder. Before we ordered, someone from the kitchen brought us an appetizer of some kind. We spent some time speculating about what it could be, and assumed it was an apology for seating us late after sending us to the bar. After this, our waiter came over and took our orders. The next time the host walked by, we asked her what the appetizer was. She said something to the effect of "that's a mistake" and picked it up and actually brought it to another table -- after it had been sitting on our table for around 10 minutes and anyone could have handled it. When a management finally addressed my email, they said I should have let them know about my disappointment sooner (we actually did). While acknowledging that taking food from one table to another was inappropriate, the email was mostly defensive with a twist of blaming me for not being more timely with my complaint, after ignoring my email for a month. As long as I'm writing a review to point out IPK's dismissiveness and inattention to food hygiene, I'll add that the food was gimmicky and overpriced, but that wasn't as notable as the bad service we received.
