Don't let the wait-list being a month out deter you. I had one of the best meals of my life at Bar Bacetto and plan to go again. The rotating menu can be pricey, but it's absolutely worth it. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Big shout out to Noah and Spencer for making the night special for my girlfriend and I!

I waited 30 days to eat here! It was so worth it, and I will do it again and again! If you're early, go grab a drink from 1 of the local bars within a minutes walk until it's your time. The service was phenomenal. Our server answered all our questions, made special requests, and never stopped smiling! She said she loves working here because no one complains. Yes, folks, it's that freaking good! Not 1 disappointment.. they good was legendary 🙌. Thank you for speaking my food language, I'll be back for sure!

Tonight was a special dinner at Bar Bacetto (ba-be-ketto). Little kisses in Italian, located in Historic Waitsburg. Named by NYT as one of the 50 best small (seats 18) restaurants in the US. I was able to snag a reservation about 6 weeks ago in open table. Found two willing participants, Laura and Dave Benishek , friends of 34 yrs. The food was sublime and all it has been written up to be! We had 3 starters! Focaccia, Prosciutto and Burrata, and Beet and Apple salad with whipped feta cheese and a sprinkle of a coriander crunch! I had a limoncello martini and Laura and Dave shared some wine they brought. For mains we had Testatoli Toscano with Beef checks and Tagliatini Tartuffo! The pasta texture is to die for! I even bought a homemade dried bag to bring home! For Dolce we shared a rhubarb topped panacotta and chocolate torte. Dave and Laura shared a final liquor! Food plus plus, service wonderful, music was too loud and the ambiance suffered. But a wonderful experience and one to repeat!

This little restaurant is a gem. They offer high quality yet simple Italian dishes at very reasonable prices. The menu is limited - four first courses (not including the must-order focaccia) which are antipasti salads and four second courses which feature house made pasta. The bar is in a separate room to the side of the restaurant. It is nicely appointed with a large family style dining table and several smaller tables to enjoy a before-dinner drink. The large table may be where the restaurant serves the 6 person reservations that are limited to one per evening. Those patrons are seated family style and apparently receive the one each of the first and second courses to share amongst themselves. The wine offerings for dinner were pretty extensive with many nice Italian wines to select from. Between the couple we were dining with and the server, a very nice bottle of red was selected for our group of four to enjoy. Our group of four decided to order one of each first and second course so as to share family style. There were a prosciutto and burrata dish, a lovely Spanish sardine dish, a carrot salad and a chicory salad dish. The chicory salad was my favorite but every one all settled on their own personal favorites. Unfortunately - we didn't get to sample our second courses as the entire town experienced a black out due to a stolen RV taking out a couple of power poles. The owner didn't have a way to continue serving in those conditions. We did manage to finagle a pannacotta dessert to finish our partial meal. The sweet owners were willing to let people go without paying as their point-of-sale equipment wasn't working due to the outage. But we all managed to find ways of paying for the wonderful food that we did receive and enjoy.
