Sushi Kappo Tamura offers an exceptional sushi experience. The sushi here is incredibly fresh and amazing, probably best I’ve ever eaten. The staff was excellent and friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Everything we had was extremely fresh, and I look forward to returning. A special shoutout to Christie, who took great care of us while we were there. Highly recommend this spot for sushi lovers!
Hands down, the best sushi in Seattle. They have high-quality fish and it’s pricey but well worth the price if you enjoy quality sushi. Upscale and modern setting. Great ambience. Service can be slow at times but always professional and courteous. Parking is tricky since there is only street parking. Reservation is recommended.
Really good sushi in a cozy neighborhood venue. Your have to be local to find it. Well-attended room, twin Japanese women hosting and a familiar group at the counter There were 4-5 chefs all mature and quick. A wide menu of standard exotic and unique sushi sashimi and rolls. No BS on sale. Not sure if there were meat options. Many standard sushi joints call for the burger to avoid frozen farmed fish. Kappo Tamura is as good as Tokyo Yeah it’s expensive. No problem
We have a very enjoyable dinner there this evening. My husband had the 3 course sushi dinner and I chose from the "Ippin" menu--hijiki nimono, chawan mushi with snow crab, black cod and greens, and the miso black cod. For dessert (all desserts are house-made), my husband enjoyed the chestnut and butterscotch creme brulee, while I had one scoop of matcha ice cream and one scoop of black sesame ice cream. Everything was delicious and our waitperson was superb. I would give this place a 4.5, only because the ippin menu doesn't change very much. One word of warning, however, is that in the colder months, the restaurant can be a bit chilly because the ceiling is quite high.
