This restaurant is an amazing gem! The food was delicious, but the service was exceptional. Everyone was kind and so welcoming. I loved that you could see teamwork in action, and the atmosphere was causal and relaxed. We will definitely return when we are in the area again. (Run to get the pumpkin waffle....you won't be sorry! )
My family traveled from New Mexico to visit DC. We are foodies. The atmosphere and customer service were perfect! They were kind and had a sense of urgency as well as a relaxed vibe. The breakfast was cooked perfectly. They made my eggs a perfect over medium. (I’m severely picky about how I like my eggs cooked) all in all this place is awesome. If you want a perfect classic breakfast come here!
Cash only and they do not settle at the table. I tendered two twenties for a $22 check. He took it away and came back with a quip about the ink on the ten still wet and moved on. There was no ten but his joke was insurance against a challenge.
Stopped in w/ my family (husband + 2 kids ages 12 & 14) for breakfast on a Saturday. Walked in and the place was about 2/3 full the whole time we were there as people were coming and going. Old Godzilla movie playing on VHS. This place is solidly great & one of those type of places you're happy to spend your money at. Only 10 or so tables + counter seating. Food is simple and good fare. Portions are normal, like what you would make for yourself, not giant. Prices are extremely reasonable. Don't hesitate to eat there. Cash only.
