My husband and I went here for our 10 year anniversary. We sat in the outdoor patio area. The atmosphere was charming and staff was friendly & on point with service. We had the lobster bisque soup, tuna bon bon, black cod, and lamb. Everything was delicious. Well definitely be back
I have not been to Jansen for a very long time ... Jansen is a beautiful country cottage restaurant with a home style feel to it. We were there for my coworker's Birthday Party that her wonderful husband and friends planned for her ... The wait staff is amazing and the food was just as superb ... I would recommend every we dinned on
Superb food and excellent service are words that describe our past visits. Not so much on our most recent visit. Prices have increased which I am willing to pay but with that I expect the waiter to look at us while he tells us the specials, offered pepper for my salad and my eggplant not to be tough and rubbery encased in a soggy fried crust. They still make a mean negroni which I thoroughly enjoyed even if the ice cube was the size of an iceberg.
My wife and I had dinner here last evening with friends of ours. The food is absolutely superb and the plate presentation is like a piece of art. I had the striped bass special and it was to die for. From the appetizers through desert and the wine selection, this was truly one of those rare dining experiences where I just cannot find a negative thing to say. But speaking of positives, all of the wait staff was truly excellent. Our waitress was phenomenal. She was witty, charismatic and had a wonderful dry sense of humor. We all commented about her during dinner and after. She made our dining experience that much better. Wonderful job Chef.
