Extremely fresh and delicious. Beautifully presented as well and reasonably priced. I only wish I had more space in my stomach to try out more things! The wait isn’t too bad and once you order and find a are seat, the dishes come out fairly quickly. There’s a hot sauce bar near the front by the water and it was fun trying out the variety.
Super fresh and flavorful seafood. Excellent flavors, great preparation, and a nice presentation too. So happy with our meal, we make it a point to visit when we're in town!
When my husband and I had overnight layover in LA on our way to the Cook Islands, we took Uber to have lunch here. Walking into the Mercado La Paloma, we were met with line of people waiting to be seated. We were lucky and were seated at the counter where we observed many dishes being prepared. When Chef/Owner Gilberto Cetina walked by, we told him how much we enjoyed the food we were eating. As busy as he was, he took time to chat with us and expressed his gratitude. We were impressed by his passion to showcase all things Yucatan to the public. (Besides the restaurant, there was a small gift shop dedicated to the Yucatan merchandize nearby.) All the seafood were fresh and perfectly cooked. Little wonder the place garnered so many accolades! We ordered more tacos to take back to our hotel. We wished we could stay in LA longer so we could eat here again. It was one of the BEST seafood meals we ever had!
Everything was super fresh at this now Michelin-starred marisqueria. The sea urchin was better than I've had in any Japanese restaurant. There was creativity and complexity of flavor, not just spice, and you could tell that all the ingredients were high quality. Price was very reasonable for what you get. I hope it doesn't go up now that they have a Michelin star. We came for dinner around 7:00 midweek. I was a little hesitant, because I feared they might run out of some food, or it wouldn't be as fresh, because it's more of a lunch place. Turns out my fears were unfounded. The only difference was that there was less of a line and easier to find seating at dinner, so I think coming for dinner is even better than lunch.
