Thank you Heather for again serving us with such kindness. You are a joy! Every plate was truly a work of art. We had the scallop on the half shell, lamb tacos, pork tenderloin, gnocchi with seared scallops, and brussels sprouts. We look forward to our next visit! 🩷
We wanted to have an upscale dining experience tonight and saw this advertised online. The food was very different than what you can get at normal places in the area so it was definitely new and tasted good. We had the shrimp and pork belly lettuce wraps which is a great appetizer that I'm highly recommend, also had the empanadas which I feel could have a little more flavor and pieces for the price that is paid. The main entree was gnocchi and a chicken dish. Gnocchi was great , loved how soft it was , the chicken with the sauce it comes with was good as well . Overall it was very nice to try for a date night.
We were recommended to Belly of the Beast by several friends and so came with high expectations. The food did not disappoint. As the menu presumably changes with the seasons, am not doing a course-by-course description… except to say that each course was yummy.
Belly of the Beast – A Feast to Remember Lunch at Belly of the Beast was exceptional. The menu was innovative, showcasing proudly South African, seasonal ingredients transformed into world-class dishes. The food was next-level – every bite packed with flavour and creativity. The intimate vibe, open kitchen, and friendly staff made the experience even better. A gem in Cape Town’s food scene. Highly recommended!
