Grace's Trattoria

Excellent service from the time we walked in the door! Food was excellent...I don't have one complaint about this place!! IT IS A MUST GO TO RESTAURANT!! I was with a party of five coworkers, we didn't wait long and our food didn't take long, and our glasses were never empty! Alan and Bernardo were great!! We did not want for anything! We didn't have to pay for having a party of five, nor did we have to pay all the extra fees restaurants have these days! This would be a great date night vibe!! I almost forgot, they give you skillet cornbread for an appetizer, and it was delicious! I ordered the cajun stuffed chicken breast with mac and cheese and collard greens. You also get a choice of soup, salad, or gumbo...I chose gumbo, and it was good as well. Also, pictured is my coworkers baked potato dip and chips...it was okay, different chips would make it better in my opinion. 😋❤️

Another wonderful experience on the books at this lovely establishment. I decided to patronize Grace's on my birthday and got the kale salad, which doesn't disappoint. My friend got the stuffed chicken, which is a popular option. The restaurant was not busy, and we were seated quickly. The ambiance and the environment was posh and pleasant with light conversation abuzz. The waiter, although very nice, had some challenges through the experience; however, he worked to resolve them. I think he was new and I wanted to show some grace to him (see what I did there? 🙃). Overall, the experience was consistent, positive, and warm. The fireplace was lit and it was such a nice touch. I plan to go back very soon as this restaurant is a staple for me and friends.

I rarely post reviews (obviously) and realize I am blessed to be able to enjoy fine dining more than most (three Michelin starred restaurants in 2024 and three of Houston’s best—Xochi, Baso, and Vic and Anthony’s—in the past two weeks). I was charged $1,98 for a large ice cube at Graces. Let that sink in. An ice cube. When I questioned it, I was told it was “standard industry practice at fine restaurants “ and it represented ‘a real business cost’. Absolutely ridiculous and bush league. Enough said!

I have been going to Johnny Carrabbas restaurants for almost 40 years. The food is always Exceptional. But what makes Johnny's restaurants so special is the standard of service. Every time I go to one of his establishments, I feel as though I am the most important customer of the month. Everyone matters to Johnny and his team. He treats people with dignity and respect. From the dishwasher, parking attendant, to one of his top clients. He learned from one of the Best in the industry...Johnny's father. I ate at Grace's today. The hostess, Kelyn, greeted me with a warm and friendly smile. Though the restaurant was active, she made it her priority to find me a wonderful table. Our server was Exceptional! Amy provided great options for lunch, and the food was at our table within 10 minutes. She made sure that we had refills on drinks, along with some additional items to go with the delicious food.
