Great experience. Not only the food was amazing, full of surprising flavours and perfectly prepared but service with Fernando was simply perfect. Such a nice person with perfect advices on food selection and wine pairing. The music would be a bit more jazzy and subtle and the ambiance would be perfect too. My only comment would be that the truffle were too subtle in the roasted chicken, the meat portion was almost too generous, I would have preferred a bit more vegetables. My expectations were a bit too high maybe, in any case it was still a marvellous experience.

The service was second to none. The place was beautiful. The apps we had were some of the best things I have ever had. We got the chicken and duck for our entrees. Let me start by saying it was the best chicken and duck I have ever had that wasn’t fried. With that said I feel like poultry can only be so special, so if I were to do it over I would have changed my entrees.

As you enter this undistinguished street to the Boka Restaurant , like a book with so many words this eatery is portable magic. The ambiance , very attentive staff and food and wine will rise to your occasion even if there isnt't one. We could not get in as last minute plans, however they do have a bar seating with reservations (Of Course). Being this was our second time here we actually thought the bar was quite nice as first time at the bar. We were thrilled and shared a bottle of Kistler Chardonnay and dined on the luscious scallops. You guys as always showed us what a lovely evening can be in Chicago at Christmas. We were transported to our happy place and enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the magic of the bar. We will be back. Thanks again.

We ordered the Dry Aged Beef Tartare, Brown Butter Roasted Hokkaido Scallops and Ricotta Gnudi to start. For mains, we had the Roasted Dry Aged Duck and Black Truffle Roasted Chicken. We shared the Winter Citrus for dessert. All of them were good, but the duck was my favourite - the duck breast was tender and juicy, and its skin crispy and fragrant. The sides were pretty interesting too.
