For my money, Arun’s is the finest dining establishment in the city of Chicago. This is my go to for special occasions: graduations, anniversaries, etc, because the meal quality is consistently excellent and the service is impeccable. Also, the decor is amazing and unique (Arun’s brother painted the walls!). The prices here are unbeatable when compared with restaurants in the same tier. Frankly, I almost wish that Arun’s would start charging more because I want this restaurant to be around for a long time. There is no place like Arun’s!
I rated this place a solid 4 stars for vegetarians… given that the food was good, but not incredible. The service and atmosphere were fine and the location is off the beaten path a bit in terms of high end Chicago restaurants. Generally though, everything was good. The first item was the curry soup and that was the best thing I ate all night. The number one gripe is always the price when you consider how much you end up spending… but the food was good enough to go at least once to check out their pre-fixe menu.
Top notch Thai food at a good price. Try the crab Rangoon and the egg rolls! Just simply delicious. A must do when you are in Chicago!
A great find! The food was just amazing - with a well crafted tasting menu of 9 different treats. Wonderful service as the waiter described each serving. The mural in our dining area was fantastic to explore. We will be back when next in Chicago.
